Holiday Party Fun and New Challenge for the New Year!

Thank you to everyone who came out and joined us for our Holiday social.  I think everyone had fun, ate some great treats and had at least one good laugh!

Jennifer made a scrappy wall-hanging
Several members had show and tell items to share.

Suzanne made her mom a quilt
Nancy designed and executed this paper pieced flower quilt
Kris made a variable star quilt
Sheila made a curling iron carry bag

Colleen made a sew together bag

Food galore and pretty paper packages of "ugly" fat quarters.

The FQ exchange was a lot of fun. Everyone went home with something worse or better than expected! I already cut mine up and put it in a block! To see a video of our Name that Quilt block Charade game go to our FB page

I think a good time was had by all!  We also had two new guests that might be joining us in the future, Mary's friend Barb and Suzanne's friend Ruvini.

Thank you

What is coming up in the NEW YEAR??
A new quilting challenge  called "Try Angles" to start the year off.  Challenge is due at the March meeting...have fun!  What kind of angles do you want to try???

Plus ....you don't want to miss out on having a quilt hang in the Bernina Sewing Studio gallery.  Please turn in all quilts before Jan 8th. We would like each guild member to have a quilt in the show. They must have a permanent label with your name on and a written note describing the modern elements used in your quilt. If you are south in town contact Sheila Green and if you are north contact Kris Jarchow.
