Your MQG Membership Renewed

Everyone that has renewed their membership or recently joined LMQG should have received an email from MQG with additional information. It includes a password reset link in case you have forgotten. Here is just a bit of the information from the email that lists the benefits we receive.

2024 Educational Programming:

Each quarter of 2024 we will explore a different modern quilting technique or topic. We’ve partnered with four talented, skillful, and creative members who will share their knowledge around these techniques and topics.

  • Holly Clarke - Modern Traditionalism
  • Ginny Robinson - Appliqué
  • Augusto Garcia - Negative Space
  • Nicole Neblett - Minimalism

For each topic’s three-month cycle, there will be:

  • An on-demand education video to give you a holistic look at the topic.
  • A sample project to try the technique or style.
  • A quilt pattern to put the skills to use.

If you still haven't submitted your dues this year, you still can! Join or Renew today!

National Quilting Day 2024 Recap

Thought I would share a few pictures of the day.

Quilts of Valor quilts were hung in the entrance and along the stairway of the IQM.

Second floor showcased QOV, Habitat for Humanity, a make and take project, and our vendor sponsors.

Kids and families could interact with a cute make and take house in the Habitat for Humanity space.

More second floor images of our sponsors.

The third floor showcased handwork. Joe Cunningham listened intently and asked quesions about this work in progress.

Kids and adults were encouraged to make a basic four patch block.

The Dillow Conservation Workroom was open to the public to observe collection care in action.

Our own LMQG Bee Sew Quilty group presented their works and thoughts about the Modern Quilting Bee.

Still looking for a few pictures of the other two lectures:
