Fall Retreat 2021
We are so excited to be able to do a retreat this year!!! Please join us :-)
The Hazel Dillon Lodge is a newly built retreat center just east of Lincoln near Ashland. It has 42 bottom bunks, a large kitchen and a huge space for sewing all day and night. Invite your friends and sew with us!

You can work on your TOM blocks, challenge quilts or personal projects.
Remember - you can tour the exhibits - The pivotal Whitney exhibit is at the IQM, "Abstract Design in American Quilts at 50".

June Meeting 2021 Recap
We did it! Our very first in person meeting since February 2020! Twenty-nine members joined us.
Announcements:
· 2021 Retreat: Oct. 22-24, 2021, at Hazel Dillon Lodge @ Camp Carol Joy Holling. Fee is $150 per person and will include two meals per day plus snacks. LMQG members and their friends can sign up through August 1, after which registration will be open to Omaha quilters and others. Forty-one quilters can be accommodated in bottom bunks. The Retreat Committee is Mary Dittenber, Elisa Salas, Sheila Green, Mary Sedlak and Sara Kenny.
· Amy Friend virtual workshop: Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Fee is $25. Limited to LMQG members wanting to learn about Improv Paper Piecing. Limit of 20 people. Sign-up sheet available at this meeting.
· Sew Day: Saturday, July 10, 2021, 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the IQM.
· Collecting Cindy Grisdela Challenge quilts to display at the Threads Across Nebraska show, October 8-9, 2021, in Kearney. Limit of one per person. They must be labeled and may be left at tonight’s meeting or brought to the meeting July 27, 2021.
· Covid Quilts: IQM is interested in your Covid Quilts. Finish it and bring it to the October meeting for a photo.
· Raffle Quilt: Our Coral and Cream quilt will be raffled at Threads Across Nebraska and continuing through the end of the year. More details to come.
· Bees: Our program will include information about how Bees can work and answer questions. If you might be interested, there is a sign-up sheet available at this meeting.
· Raffle: There will be two raffles this evening and a two-month raffle beginning at this meeting that includes a registration for the Amy Friend workshop, her book Improv Paper Piecing, and an add-a-quarter ruler, a $58 value. If you win and have already paid for the workshop, your payment will be refunded.
