September 2024 Meeting Recap

Meeting Recap Notes

I hope everyone had a great time at the September meeting with our hands on Kawandi session. We want to thank Diane Wilson for explaining the process and the background of these beautiful pieces. These are listed in the meeting recap, but there were a few great Instagram resources for more examples from other makers. Check out Sujata Shah - @therootconnection, Jen Strauser - @jenstrauser, Margaret Fabrizio - @margaretfabrizio.

We also want to remind everyone that our Second Chances: Upcycled Modern Quilts exhibit at the International Quilt Museum is on display until November 12th. If you still need to bring your friends or family by to see the work, you still have some time! For past exhibitions, check out the LMQG Exhibits tab above.
Now on to the show!

Diane Wilson led us through a hands on workshop and showed us her Kawandi work and how we could make our own pieces.
