February 2021 Meeting

Well, Punxsutawney Phil predicted 6 more weeks of winter, so we better get to quilting to keep warm!

Reminder - Next month (March 30th), we'll have our first of three national speakers, Carole Lyles Shaw! Check out her website: https://carolelylesshaw.com/. Her use of color and curves borders on the fearless.

We have an exciting program for you this month!

  • Technique of the month: Stamping

    • Have you wanted to make your own design? Couldn't find anything abstract enough or just the right size or pattern? Please join us as our very own, Mary Dittenber demonstrates how to make your own stamps!

    • We'll also show you how to stamp with household items (hint, keep your pizza triangles that hold up the boxes)

  • Group Discussion: Blocks to Creativity

    • Based on the book by Elizabeth Gilbert’s Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear, we'll do active discussion, activity work and review how to get over that hump of the creative block.

  • Challenge Quilt - Cindy Grisdela Inspired

    • This month, we'll help you out with Improv Curves and Bright colors

  • Raffle Update

    • We've got raffle prizes, and we'll tell you how we're working towards getting raffles updated and to our members

  •  QuiltCon 2021 Report

    • Sheila Green will review MQG's QuiltCon Together - New trends, Award winners and more

  • Show and Tell

We can't wait to see what you've done! WIPs (works in progress) totally OK.
