Just wanted to let you know of some of our upcoming programs and workshops should you decide to venture to Lincoln.
Our April speaker and workshop presenter is Diane Harris, the creator of stashbandit.net. Her workshop is titled Color, Contrast & Cohesion.
Our May speaker is Jane Foral specializing in English Paper Piecing. Her workshop will get us started on a simple EPP wall hanging.
Our June speaker is Veruschka Zarate of prideandjoyquilting.com, a renowned foundation paper piecing quilt artist who’s won numerous QuiltCon awards and presented around the world. She has created a brand new project for her very first Nebraska visit called “Capturing Memories Heart Land.” (Our June meeting will take place at the International Quilt Museum.)
You can always find more information at our website. Visitors are always welcome at our meetings that typically take place the second Monday of the month at the College View Seventh Day Adventist Church at 7 pm. Cost for visitors if $5 for the first visit and $15 thereafter. Workshop prices vary and always take place the Tuesday following the meeting at the International Quilt Museum.
Don't forget this event in advance of the May 4th workshop with Victoria Findlay Wolfe!
Friends of the IQM Annual Board meeting will be Friday, May 3 at 3pm. Victoria Findlay Wolfe will be our special speaker! The public is invited to attend. This is held at the International Quilt Museum’s Campbell and Hodder Seminar Room, 1523 n 33rd St, Lincoln, NE.
Her exhibition, "Victoria Findlay Wolfe: Option Expedition" opens April 19 and closes December 14, 2024. She will also be speaking at the FREE 1st Friday event Friday, May 3, 5:30pm (same day as FRIENDS Board meeting).
