Check out what will be taking place in 2026 with LMQG. Don't forget to note the August meeting date has been changed to August 18th! Membership dues can be mailed in between now and our first meeting in January. Don't forget to complete the yearly survey. The link has been sent to your email address. If you did not receive or cannot find the email, please reach out to Phyllis.
The first challenge of 2026 is due at the January meeting. Dig out one of your UFOs and complete it by the first meeting of the year. Did you put it away because you lost interest? How could you put a modern twist on it and turn it into a work of art? Bragging rights for the oldest UFO shown!
Challenge Quilt Awarded
Jeni Kusak Ehlers presented the guild’s improv challenge quilt to Sam Franklin from Shelter Me. Shelter Me will pass the quilt to their partner, Friendship Home. From Sam: "I started ShelterMe in 2012 because I was a victim of domestic abuse and had to leave my pets with my abuser. I couldn’t check on them, so I didn’t know if they were being abused. I got them back after a few weeks, but I didn’t want anyone to feel that again, so when I got to safety, I started ShelterMe. Since inception, we’ve helped hundreds of people and pets get to safety!"
