Our very first LMQG retreat was held on April 29th & 30th at The Yellow Barne.
15 members gathered to sew, eat and socialize!

Some members chose to work on personal projects. This pixelated heart quilt top was created by Laura Simpson, Sarah, Kristie, Julie and Liz.
Ten members participated in the group activity, which was an Improv Round Robin. Each member started an improv quilt block and then passed it on to the next quilter, not knowing what the next person would add! The challenge of the round robin is working with the fabric and the patchwork of others. It is a great community building exercise, several members said they would try it again!
The following photo shows the Round Robin participants with their quilts and the "signature fabric" they added to each other's quilts.
L-R: JoAnn Jones, Kristie Jarchow, Sarah Maseth, Sheila Green, Colleen James, Phyllis Higley, Liz Thanel, Rhonda Eddy, Brooke James, Suzanne Rose, Julie Karjala, Mary Dittenber.
A big thank you to the retreat committee and Allie from The Yellow Barne for the fun weekend!
