As part of the national Modern Quilt Guild, we participated in the yearly QuiltCon Charity Quilt Challenge.
Sewists love a good retreat! Good food, good friends, many hours to just work on projects and not be bothered by the outside world. This first one was held at The Yellow Barne.
Ideas sure do come around again. In 2016 the guild worked on upcycled pieces - just like we did for our Second Chances exhibit at the IQM in 2024.
National Quilting Day at the IQM is always a fun time and a great opportunity to show visitors what modern quilting is about.
Habitat for Humanity has been a great organization to donate quilts and mini-quilts to for the families getting their new homes.
It is always great to see everyone at the monthly meetings, and to get to see all the fabulous projects that come from some very creative brains!
