July Meeting 2021

 

Come to this Tuesday's Meeting and beat the heat!

We have the following lineup: 

Raffles- There will be two raffles this evening and a drawing for our two-month raffle that includes a registration for the Amy Friend workshop, her book Improv Paper Piecing, and an add-a-quarter ruler, a $58 value.  If you win and have already paid for the workshop, your payment will be refunded.

 

Workshop:  Amy Friend virtual workshop: Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Fee is $25. Limit of 20, 10 spots left!

 

Retreat: Sign up for the retreat Oct. 22-24, 2021, at Hazel Dillon Lodge @ Camp Carol Joy Holling.

 

Bring your Cindy Grisdela quilts! We're collecting them for display at Threads Across Nebraska. Also bring your TOM blocks.

 

Reminder:  August 27 – September 6; Deadline for entries is  midnight, August 10. Quilts are to be delivered August 18-19 and picked up  on September 6 and 7. https://statefair.org/.../competitions/competitive-exhibits

 

Would you or a friend be interested in helping to plan our next year? If so, consider running for Secretary or Treasurer. Most of the Board is staying on to help and we'd love to see new faces! Please ask any Board member or the current Secretary or Treasurer (June Pederson or Lora Yardley) for more details. 

 

Program: 

The much anticipated:  Bias Tape, Part 2

 

What we'll do: We'll show you how to make your own bias tape and how to apply it to your quilt. We'll have handouts. 

 

*To bring: 1/2 yard of fabric if you'd like to make your own tape*

 

We'll announce a new challenge and TOM block.
